Nina Bondarenko
Acquired research, academic and clinical experience in Dnipro State Medical University. In 2022 worked as a postdoctoral fellow on immune characterization and development of new therapy strategies in liver carcinogenesis at the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endocrinology at the Hannover Medical School (Germany). Since 2023 work as guest scientists at the Institute of Pathology at the Hannover Medical School (Germany) within the scope of project "Donor-derived Cell-free DNA in Lung Transplant Recipients as a New Biomarker for Transplant Function".
Has scientific background in embryology, brain and heart pharmacology, tissue regeneration and oncopathology. Main topics of research activity include analysis of intercalated disk formation in rat myocardium after chronic prenatal hypoxia, evaluation of cardioprotective effects of medications in rat model of myocardial damage, investigation of the neurotropic drugs action and variants of coadministration in experimental prolonged hyperglycemia, metabolic syndrome and drug-induced liver injury, studying effects of the patient’s erythropoiesis stimulation prior the colorectal cancer surgical treatment, assessment of osteointegrative properties of titanium implants with different functional-protective coatings.
Keen research interest in the field of: tumor biology with focus on the mechanisms that underlie cell growth, transformation and cancer cell local and distant spreading and investigation for corresponding predictive, diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers; tumor immunology with studying mechanisms relevant to anti-tumor immune responses and seeking for new targets for immunotherapy; tumor microenvironment with analysis cellular, molecular and biochemical interactions within tumor and improving cancer diagnosis and treatment, particularly, of the bladder cancer, melanoma and other malignancies with significant social and economic effect on the healthcare system.
