"Life Sciences" course

This integrated course is designed to:

to create in students a holistic picture and understanding of the interrelationships between various biological sciences: biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, physiology, introduction to microscopy, and instrumental methods;

to deepen and master new skills, which in the future will help students realize themselves as qualified specialist, enter a master's degree or continue a scientific career in laboratories abroad.

Students:

will have the opportunity to communicate with teachers working in different universities in Ukraine (Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, and Karazin Kharkiv National University) and the EU (Germany and Austria). Each  lector is a specialist in his or her field and is actively engaged in scientific activities at the world level;

will have the opportunity to better understand what is most important for the successful continuation of studies and career development.

The duration of the course is 3 months (from 10.09.2022 to 15.12.2022), 150 hours (5 ECTS credits). Approximately 10 classes per week. Classes (lectures and seminars) will be held online, preferably at a time that will not overlap with the main studies of students at universities.

As for today, confirmation letters on the approval of course credits for undergraduate students of biological specialties have been received from five universities: Kherson State University, Odesa Mechnikov National University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, and Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Registration: until 05.09.2022 (inclusive)

If there are more applications than provided by the grant program (a maximum of 90), then the official registration preference will be given to undergraduate students of partner universities and students who have suffered greatly due to the war and have not yet completed the relevant courses, the rest will be offered free participation in lectures (without awarding a certificate).

Scholarship: 50 scholarships of 600 euros. If there are more applicants for the scholarship, preference will be given to students who lived in areas close to hostilities and who had to move to another region of Ukraine. It is also important whether students have taken part in the offered courses. Successful completion of the exam is assumed after completion of the course.

After the end of registration, everyone who sent an application will receive a letter to their e-mail with a notification about registration/rejection and possible receipt/non-receipt of a scholarship.
